I visited Altai in the summer of 2005. I am so gratefull for the hospitality of the Mongolians who visited with me and who took the time to engage me. Time goes on and circumstances change for many of the people we met. John's comments and pictures brought back the memories of my visit to Altai. Many days in a Land Cruiser to get to Altai and many days to get back to UB. Mongolia is so special to me now as I have read and studied about the history and geography and I am so thankful for the short time I was able to be there and to learn so much more throgh John's eyes.
